Yes, I wondered about that. Maybe too subtle.Adoption is good. I adopted two children, my Wife's and their natural Father was missing and presumed dead (off the cost of Okinawa in a training accident). My "favorite" adoption story is about Judah Ben-Hur. Remember, Number Forty-one. And Quintus Arrius says "We keep you alive to serve this ship. So row well, and live."And, as Saint Paul says, we are all adopted children of God, co-heirs.Regards — Cliff
Kinship charts have symbols for adoption. This allows to ID both biological father & adoptive father. http://www.uwgb.edu/walterl/kinship/symbols.htmThere are also symbols for cohabitation & sexual relationship vs. to being married.

You did a step parent adoption, this woman is offended that her wife has to adopt her children. Where dad? He's living somewhere oblivious of his children's existence. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2015/07/02/columbus-ohio-after-supreme-court-decision-same-sex-parents-fight-to-change-adoption-records.html
